Sports

In addition to weekly physical education classes and inter-house sport, students can participate in a range of extra-curricular sporting activities.

District and regional sport

Children who excel in inter-house competitions for the following sports can go onto to compete in district and regional competitions:

  • cross country
  • track and field
  • swimming.

Information about trials for district/regional competitions in the following sports is sent out through the year.

  • tennis
  • basketball
  • hockey
  • AFL
  • rugby league
  • cricket
  • netball
  • soccer
  • softball
  • golf

Inter-school team sport and Sports Gala Days

Over 10s can also play the following inter-school sports at the Sports Gala Days (all-day sports in a carnival-type atmosphere).

  • softball
  • netball
  • touch football
  • rugby league
  • AFL
  • soccer.

There are three of these Gala Days per semester.  There is a cost for these days to cover buses, nomination fees and facilities hire.  Children not participating in these inter-school sports undertake other class and physical education activities at the school.

Children are given a list of team sports to choose from each semester.  At times children may not be able to participate in their first preference due to numbers required to form teams.

Private sports tuition

Private tuition is offered for the following sport:

  • Tennis.
