On a balmy October evening, local teachers and administrators went to jail for a fundraising event to remember. Onlookers in the Fairfield shopping centre could put money in the jail box to keep them in jail, or bail box, to raise the nominated bail amount to let them be free.
There were crocodile tears aplenty and the obligatory file smuggled inside a cake. It was drama and fun all mixed up for a great cause - supporting the chaplains in schools program. In a sterling effort, $2000 was raised for the Yeronga chaplain, Chappy Jenny.
Thanks go to Whiley Walker and Slippery Mr P for doing time.
