A core part of the 24/7, anywhere-anytime learning philosophy, The Learning Place is provided to all Education Queensland schools. It is a unique and dynamic online environment that can be used as a one-stop-shop for research, networking, sharing content, and organising online learning courses.
Students use their school log-on username and password to access this space.
Teachers and students use a range of tools in The Learning Place.
learning pathways – a string of digital resources and links put together.
virtual classrooms – entire courses or class blogs in one space.
edTube – albums of photos, videos and audio files.
edStudio – a dynamic collaborative online environment that can be created and added to by teachers and students.
student live and interactive webinars.
Out of class access is expected. Students experiencing difficulty accessing a computer or the internet at home may access the blended learning centre in the Resource Centre at during the week when teacher supervision is provided. Our blended learning centre comprises 24 desk-top computers, 4 laptops and an interactive whiteboard.
Teachers also use The Learning Place to access professional learning via live webinars, Atomic learning tutorials, on-demand video content and networking via blogs and resource recommendations.
