Maps and transport

Yeronga State School is approximately 5km from the Brisbane CBD. It is well serviced by public transport, parks, shops and the Yeronga Swimming Complex. Click here for a map.

Public transport

The closest train station to the school is Yeronga (Beenleigh line). The station is a 5-10 minute walk from school. There is also a bus stop outside the school serviced by the 104 and 105 bus routes.

Use the Translink Journey Planner to find the best way to get to and from school. Children and students are entitled to travel concessions. For more information about concessions visit the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads website.

Students are expected to behave respectfully and safely when using public transport. Parents are asked to discuss the Queensland Government’s code of conduct for school travel with their children.

Parking, safety and traffic flow

The safety of our students, staff, parents and carers is paramount. Please observe all traffic and parking signs inside and outside the school to keep our school safe and ensure the smooth flow of traffic at busy drop off and pick up times.

A school crossing on Park Rd is manned before and after school each day. Children must use this crossing or other pedestrian crossings at all times.

Active School Travel

Please note that Yeronga State School is an Active School Travel School.  On Wednesdays we encourage students  to either walk, ride, use public transport or car pool to school. Participation is monitored - prizes can be won, certificates awarded.  Be in it!
