Yoway! At Yeronga State School, we pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of this land—the Yuggera and Turrbal people—who have always been deeply connected to Country.
On Country, we feel the sun on our backs and see the jacarandas blossom in spring. The sounds of the magpies, crows and kookaburras fill the air. Small creatures hide beneath fallen leaves. Children chatter, laugh, learn and play.
At Yeronga State School, we promise to show respect, kindness and care for Country—the land beneath our feet. We feel the warmth of culture and connection as we remember the past and look to the future together.
